Niko Bellic	Meet Niko Bellic. Niko is the game’s protagonist, in other words, he is you. Niko, most likely croatian in origin, has moved from his old country to Liberty City to live the American Dream. After hearing about how good his cousin’s, Roman, life was in America — he claimed he had two women, four hot tubs, fifteen cars, and a lot of money — which, turned out to be a lie because Roman’s life was not as good as imagined. In the first trailer, it displays his hope for his future and his distaste for his past when he says “Life is complicated… I’ve killed people, smuggled people… Sold people. Perhaps here, things will be different.” Niko is a tough character, but as the game’s story unfolds, we discover that maybe Niko has been avoiding other problems at home.
Roman	Roman, whose surname (last name) is currently unknown, is Niko Bellic’s cousin and his first contact in the game. Not much is known about Roman, except that he glorified his life to Niko, which somewhat tricked him into moving to Liberty City. He is heavily in debt and a lot of criminals are trying to get heavy with him. He also runs a taxi depot in the borough of Broker. Roman is somewhat of a friendly buffoon and is a high energy optimist that will try to make things happen. While he seems like a dynamic to Niko, the two are constantly bickering.
Jacob	Nothing is currently known about this character except that he will sell you guns when you call him.
